Dehumidifiers

Dehumidifiers are used to remove excess humidity and water in a variety of situations. They are used after flooding, damp penetration, water ingress and also to speed the drying of wall coatings such as plaster. They take moisture from the air and blow it over cold plates which condense the moisture into liquid. This liquid is then precipitated into a container which can be emptied. As the relative humidity in the room is lowered, the machine can then more easily dry out the effected surfaces.

At Heat and Dry we deliver and install three sizes of dehumidifier, which will cope with any almost type of application.

Large Dehumidifier

The Ebac BD150 is the industry standard machine. In normal conditions, it will extract 30 litres of water per day and is used throughout the drying industry in various situations.

Medium Dehumidifier

The Ebac BD125 is a more compact machine suited to smaller rooms which will extract 20 litres of water per day in normal conditions.

Small Dehumidier

The Ebac BD70 is a small machine suited for use with highly localised areas of dampness or in situations where there is no room for a larger machine (such as in small bathrooms, shower cubicles etc). In normal conditions, it will extract 12 litres of water per day.

Room Temperature

If your room is too cold, Dehumidifiers will function at a much slower rate if at all. You can significantly speed up your overall drying time by using some supplementary gas or electric heating. Dehumidifiers operate between 3 and 35 degrees centigrade although their performance is best when halfway between these two extremes.
